Hi, I’m Dr Marr.
I’m a medical doctor with more than 18 years of experience in aesthetic medicine, with a particular interest in skin health, facial ageing, wellness and helping patients look and feel like the best version of themselves.
Over the years, medicine has taken me through many different chapters — from clinical practice and aesthetic medicine to education, continuous learning and eventually building BEU Clinic at Sunway Velocity.
I also hold a Master’s in Medical Education from the University of Malaya, reflecting something I strongly believe in: medicine never stops evolving, and neither should we.
Why I Started This Blog
I created Dr Marr BeU as a space to share more than what can usually fit into a consultation room or a social media post.
Here, I write about aesthetic medicine, skin, healthy ageing, new technologies, treatments and developments that catch my attention. I also occasionally share personal reflections on medicine, life, learning and the experiences that have shaped me over the years.
My goal is to make medical and aesthetic topics easier to understand without oversimplifying the science behind them.
My Approach to Aesthetic Medicine
For me, aesthetic medicine has never been about changing someone into a different person.
It is about understanding the individual in front of you — their anatomy, concerns, expectations and what will genuinely benefit them.
Trends come and go. New technologies, injectables and techniques will continue to evolve. But good aesthetic medicine should always begin with sound medical judgement, a strong understanding of anatomy and realistic expectations.
Sometimes, the best treatment is also knowing when not to treat.

Beyond the Blog
I currently practise at BEU Clinic, Sunway Velocity, where my approach focuses on personalised, doctor-led aesthetic care.
This blog, however, is a little different.
It is my space to explore ideas, share what I continue to learn and hopefully help readers make more informed decisions about their skin, health and aesthetic treatments.
